Catching TL Yeap

Yeap is such an elusive creature. We really doesn't have much chance of sitting down over coffees. Me in KK, Sabah he is in Penang and Kedah.
Not to mentioned, he refuses to enter any pub or bistro. Too bad as those are my favourite watering hole.
Anyway, we spoke over the phone every now and then to catch up on the latest development among our friends.

Avoidable Accident

DAILY EXPRESS NEWS reported

Filipino labourer crushed to death

Kota Kinabalu: A Filipino labourer was killed after being crushed by a one-tonne iron bucket while working at a construction site in Sepanggar, near here, Saturday.

Abd Basir Jalaun, 40, died on the spot after the iron bucket used for pouring cement fell on him at about 5pm when he and several other workers were mixing cement.

City Police Chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria, when contacted, said the hook holding the bucket to the crane suddenly snapped, sending the bucket laden with wet cement downward toward Abd Basir.

"The deceased died of severe head injury," he said, adding police did not suspect foul play.

The body of Abd Basir was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.
