60 years of New Village

Astro AEC is going down the memory lane, a documentary trip back to the early days of formation of the New Village by the british. This would be very interesting indeed as I was not even born then. The 1st episode will be on 19th April 2009.
However, growing up in a new village is very interesting but not everything we cherished. When I was young, there is no street light. No road only harden earth path. The only time we are allowed to wander out at night is during the temple festival, whole week right after mid-autumn festival. To go home, we walk in the dark guided by moonlight.

"Day turns dark as soon as sun sets in kampung, in houses is even darker. What else can they do besides making babies? I would have thought life in kampung at this era should be more exciting than hunderd years ago. Hopefully new inspiring politicians will see to this to do the uplifting."
